New Player

If you are interested in joining our league as a new player, you must FIRST complete an online New Player Application form.

Your completed application will be automatically forwarded to the Player Coordinator who is responsible for vetting your application, and if you meet the criteria, placing you on a team.

Players are ineligible to register in our League if they register or plan to register with another league that is under the jurisdiction of the British Columbia Soccer Association (BC Soccer).

Read New Player Introduction Document to become acquainted with important League information.

Returning From An Absence

Players returning from a leave, either within 12 consecutive months for reasons of illness, injury, or special circumstances that were approved by League executives, or within an 18 month leave due to pregnancy, may return to the League and their team as a returning player. Complete the active registration link for the season you are returning to.

If a player is returning to the League after an absence greater than 12 consecutive months for illness, injury, or special circumstances or greater than 18 months from a pregnancy, a Returning Player Application will need to be completed.

Refer to section 2.1 (a) and (b) of the League Constitution.

Waitlist Process

Once you have emailed your interest, you will be contacted by our Player Coordinator. You will be assigned a team based on available space, and as soon as possible. If all teams have full rosters, you will be waitlisted until a spot opens up.

In your email to the Player Coordinator, you may identify a team preference; it will be taken into consideration in the registration process.

Team Placement

The Player Coordinator places individuals on teams based on available space, and accommodating requests as best as possible, subject to the rules of our League's Constitution:

  • A new player can be placed on to a team specifically requested, as long as that team has roster space. Otherwise, you will be offered the next available team placement, or chose to wait until the team does have space.
  • Priority for player placement will be given first to teams that have fewer players than the minimum number (16) required by the League and then to teams in the order in which requests have been received by the Player Coordinator.
  • Placement of a new player is also subject to the rule that each League team can have no more than three players who have played soccer on a Division 1 or higher Division within the past five years.
